Break-In to Vehicle in Rib Mountain

Marathon County Crime Stoppers is asking for your help to find the person who broke into a vehicle and stole property in the Town of Rib Mountain.

 

On April 30, 2017 between 12:00 and 12:20 PM, someone broke a window of a vehicle while it was parked in a parking lot in the 3000 block of Eagle Avenue in the Town of Rib Mountain.  Stolen from the vehicle were checks to a local church, a white and gold I-Pad, a Pampered Chef bag and various papers and files.

Residential Burglary (Pistol Still Missing)

Marathon County Crime Stoppers is asking for your help to find the people who are responsible for a residential burglary in the Township of Cleveland.

 

Between Monday, April 10 and Thursday, April 20, 2017 a residence was burglarized on Ruth Drive. There was some activity noted at the residence during the late evening hours of Monday, April 17. Some of the items stolen from the residence include: A Smith and Wesson 500 Revolver, an HD Cloud Security Camera, a Vizio 47” TV, an Xbox 360 gaming system, a Guitar Hero Live w/Guitar game, a green/gray Mountain Climber backpack, a Hisense 40” TV, 2 pair of Jordan tennis shoes, and many other items. The total loss is estimated at about $3000.

Vehicle Break-In's
April 28, 2017

Marathon County Crime Stoppers is asking for your help to find person(s) who broke into multiple vehicles in the Village of Rothschild and the City of Wausau.

 

During the evening hours on March 29, 2017 and on April 3, 2017, someone went into multiple vehicles and stole people`s property.  The vehicles were parked in employee parking lots of various industries that operate 24 hours a day in the southern portion of Rothschild.  In one instance, the employee left their wallet in the vehicle, but it was visible from outside the vehicle.  Both locked and unlocked vehicles were entered.  Evidence was recovered in Rothschild which indicated this person also broke into other vehicles in the City of Wausau on April 3, 2017 in the Wausau West Side Industrial Park.

Criminal Damage to Vehicles
April 21, 2017

Marathon County Crime Stoppers is asking for your help to identify the vandals responsible for shooting out the windows in several vehicles in the Township of Weston and Rib Mountain.

 

Between Thursday, March 23, 2017 and Sunday, March 26, 2017 two dump trucks, a 2001 Pontiac Grand Am and a 95 Ford F350 had several windows shot out possibly with a bb gun. The vehicles were located on Morning Glory Lane and Anastasia Dr.  It is possible the two incidents are connected.

Vehicle Hitting a Building

Armed Robbery
April 07, 2017

Marathon County Crime Stoppers is asking for your help to identify the suspects involved in an armed robbery in the Township of Emmet.

 

On March 28, 2017 about 6:57am, an armed robbery was reported at a residence on Fairview Road. The suspects are described as one male Caucasian, approximately 5’11” and thin build. Two male Southeast Asians, approximately 5’4”. There is also possibly one female Asian involved. The suspects were wearing coverings over their face, and they were armed with a handgun and a bat during the robbery.

 

The suspects left the residence in an unknown direction, in a small white pickup truck with no topper. The suspects are to be considered armed and dangerous. Do not confront them, but call your local law enforcement authorities.

Thefts from Construction Site
March 26, 2017

Marathon County Crime Stoppers is asking for your help to find people who broke into a construction site on North Mountain Road in the Town of Rib Mountain. 

 

Unknown people entered a construction site multiple times and stole tools and supplies.  The first time a theft took place was sometime between March 6 and March 7, 2017.  The second time people stole property from the site was between March 19 and March 20, 2017. 

 

Items stolen during the thefts include a black, red, and gray “T-Drill Model 60” in a red metal case with its accessories, a yellow and black “Kone” tool bag, an orange and black Miller Titan safety harness, a dark Bosch 7¼” circular saw, two silver and teal Makita 14” cut-off saws, a spool of red and a spool of green PullPro wire, and miscellaneous hand tools.  Over $7,000 in material and tools were stolen.

Stolen Arctic Cat Snowmobile
March 17, 2017

Marathon County Crime Stoppers is asking for your help to find the thief who stole a snowmobile in the Town of Reid.

 

Sometime between the afternoon of Friday 02/24/17 and morning of Saturday 02/25/17, a 2013 Artic Cat “Tucker Hibbert” edition 794cc snowmobile was stolen from the end of a driveway on Plover River Rd. The snowmobile was black with white skis and was chained to a post where it was advertised as being for sale. The loss is estimated at approximately $8000. The picture is of a similar snowmobile.

Bar Burglary in Town of Texas

Mistreating an Animal

Marathon County Crime Stoppers is asking for your help to find the person who shot a pet cat in the Town of Halsey.

 

On Monday, February 14, 2017 about 10:00pm, someone shot a cat named Mouser while he was outside in its yard on Nehrbass Rd near Athens.  The cat was shot with what is believed to have been a shotgun. As a result of being shot, the cat survived but had to have its left front shoulder and leg amputated. A male was seen near the driveway of the residence at the time the cat was shot and left in a pickup truck.

Criminal Damage to Township Plow Truck

Armed Home Invasion
January 29, 2017

Marathon County Crime Stoppers is asking for your help to identify who committed an Armed Home Invasion in the Village of Rothschild.

 

At about 3:30 PM on January 17, 2017, two black males wearing dark clothing forced their way into an apartment in the 200 block of First Street in Rothschild.  One of the males was in possession of a long gun; possibly a shotgun which was in a zippered case.  Both men had short hair and wore masks.  They are both believed to be in the mid 20’s to early 30’s.  After searching the house for a few minutes, the two males left without taking anything.

Retail Theft

Burglary to a Business

Around 6:00 AM on December 18th, 2016, someone broke into a bar in the 14000 block of State Road 52.  The suspect appears to be male who was wearing a black sweatshirt, a bandana over his face, a stocking cap, and tennis shoes.  Witnesses reported seeing a maroon or red Saturn driving west of the bar going towards Wausau; traveling at a slow speed.  Minimal property was reported stolen from the bar.

Armed Robbery of Dollar General
January 04, 2017

STATUS: APPREHENDED

Marathon County Crime Stoppers is asking for your help to identify the suspect responsible for the armed robbery in the City of Schofield.

 

On Sunday, January 1st, 2017 at approximately 7:42pm there was an armed robbery at the Dollar General store located at 830 Grand Ave in the City of Schofield. An individual entered the store and displayed what appeared to be a firearm and demanded money from the employees working at the time of the incident. The suspect received an undisclosed amount of money and fled the scene. The robber took off around the southwest side of the store and went to a neighborhood west of the Grand Ave. store. Officers and canine units tracked the person for a couple of blocks to an area near Maryland Ave. It is unknown if the suspect lives in the area or had a car waiting to get away from the area.

Holiday Travel Safety Tips

theft of Kayaks

Marathon County Crime Stoppers is looking for information to identify who stole three kayaks in the Town of Rib Mountain.

 

Sometime between 5:00 PM on November 28, 2016 and 8:15 AM on November 29, 2016, someone entered a storage container behind a strip mall complex in the 3800 block of Rib Mountain Drive and stole three kayaks.  One kayak was an olive drab green K&L Industries Excursion 10’ kayak, another is a light blue K&L Industries Aruba 8’ sit-in kayak, and the third is a blue Future Beach Explorer 10’ sit-on fishing kayak.

Credit Card Skimmer Suspects
December 09, 2016

Marathon County Crime Stoppers is asking for your help to identify individuals involved with credit card skimming in the City of Wausau.

 

Since the middle of November, credit card skimmers have been located in Shawano, Marshfield, Tomahawk, Rhinelander, and Wausau.  A skimmer is a portable device that is attached to a credit card machine at a gas pump or ATM machine. When the thief returns to remove the device, the credit card user’s personal information is captured which enables the criminal to steal money from their account.  USE CAUTION WHEN USING A CREDIT CARD AT A GAS STATION PAY AT THE PUMP OR ATM. If something looks suspicious don’t use it.
