Theft of Riding Lawnmower and Tandem Axle trailer.

Marathon County Crime Stoppers is asking for your help to identify a suspect in the theft of a riding lawnmower and a trailer from the 3200 block of Fleet Drive in the Village of Maine.

 

Between November 8 and November 11, 2016, someone stole a red Toro Model 223D 23 HP diesel riding lawnmower.  The lawnmower was on an 8’x12’ tandem axle trailer with storage sides on both sides of the trailer.  The trailer was painted predominantly brown.  The victim believed someone backed up to the trailer and stole both the trailer and the lawnmower.

Burglary to Day Care Center
November 23, 2016

Marathon County Crime Stoppers is asking for your help to identify a male who burglarized the Daisy Mae Day Care located on Evergreen Rd in the Town of Texas.

 

On Sunday, July 10th about 5:00pm, an employee went to the Daisy Mae Day Care Center and found an adult white male inside. The male intruder covered his face with a t-shirt and fled out a west side door on foot then to the north through some woods. The white male suspect appeared to be middle-aged with black curly hair and was wearing a gray t-shirt and pants.

Theft of Log Splitter

Marathon County Crime Stoppers is asking for your help to identify who stole a log splitter in the Town of Marathon.

 

Sometime between November 6th and November 8th, 2016, someone went onto a property in the 3200 block of Evergreen Road and stole a Speeco Model LS5401226N log splitter.  It’s believed someone backed onto the property and hooked the splitter up to a truck to steal it.

Theft of Motorhome
November 10, 2016

Marathon County Crime Stoppers is asking for your help to find a motorhome that was stolen from the Town of Rib Mountain. 

 

Between Thursday, 10/20/16 and Monday, 10/31/16 a 2015 Allegro motorhome was taken from a storage lot on Lilac Ave.  During the same time frame, a different motor home was broken into and damaged at King’s Campers. The total loss is estimated at about $125,000.

Burglary in the Town of Holton

Marathon County Crime Stoppers is asking for your help to identify the person who broke into a house in the Town of Holton.

 

During the day on October 28th, 2016, someone broke into a house in the 3400 block of Draper Road and stole money from various parts of the house.  They also stole a Remington Model 7600 30-06 caliber rifle with a synthetic stock and a small beige Sentry safe.  Between the damage to the residence and property inside the residence, the victims sustained more than a $4,000 loss.

Vandalism at Granite Peak Ski Area

Marathon County Crime Stoppers is asking for your help to find the person(s) responsible for Criminal Damage to Property in the Town of Rib Mountain.

 

Sometime during the month of September 2016, vandals hit Granite Peak Ski Area and spray painted obscene drawings on several chair lifts, chairlift towers and support columns. There were several terrain park features which were also spray painted.  Spray painted on terrain park features were the words “save GPP” which stands for Granite Peak Parks. Granite Peak employees have had to spend about 40 hours cleaning up the vandalism.

Hit and Run Injury Crash

Marathon County Crime Stoppers is looking for information on who hit a skateboarder in the Village of Weston.

 

At about 6:55 PM on October 19, 2016, a skateboard was hit in the roadway on East Jelinek Avenue by Randy Jay Street.  The vehicle was going west on East Jelinek Avenue when it hit the skateboarder from behind.  Witnesses described the vehicle as a white or off white colored Chrysler 200 or 300 with tinted windows.  The passenger side outside mirror was broke off.  The vehicle was last seen turning north onto Camp Phillips Road.  The victim suffered a head injury because of this crash.

Theft of Farm Equipment
October 14, 2016

Marathon County Crime Stoppers is asking for your help to find the person(s) responsible for stealing farm equipment in the Village of Athens.

 

Sometime during late July or early August 2016, a 5100 International grain drill seeder was stolen from property on West Village Limits Rd in the Village of Athens. The grain drill is described as being red in color with a black grass seeder on the back side. The grain drill is 12 feet long, but with the outside wheels it measured about 15 feet long. It is approximately 5-6 feet tall.  The loss is estimated at $6,000.

Vandals Damage D.C. Everest High School's Simon Field
September 30, 2016

 

Marathon County Crime Stoppers is asking for your help to find the person(s) responsible for damaging school property in the Village of Weston.

 

Between Sunday, September 18th, 2016 and Wednesday, September 21st, 2016, someone broke into the announcer/concession booth at D.C. Everest High School baseball field. An overhead garage door was damaged and will need to be replaced. Locks and hasps securing the building were pried and broken off. It appeared the suspect also tried to start a fire on a plywood floor in the storage room and sprayed green spray paint on the wall. The loss is estimated at approximately $1000.  This is the second time in four months that vandals have caused damage at Simon Field.

Vehicle Break-Ins by Marshfield
September 25, 2016

Marathon County Crime Stoppers is attempting to determine who broke into multiple vehicles in the Town of McMillan.

 

Between August 25th, 2016 and September 11th, 2016, multiple vehicles have been broken into in the Town of McMillian.  All the vehicles were parked either on the roads or in driveways on various side roads which all intersected with County Road E between Mann Road and Turtle Ridge Road.  Items stolen include cash, personnel identification, sunglasses, binoculars, and a car stereo amongst other items.

Theft of Ginseng

Burglary, Theft of Log Splitter and Chain Saws

Between August 8th and August 11th, 2016, someone went into an outbuilding in the1900 block of Esker Road and stole two Stihl chainsaws, one Model 461 and the other Model 036; and an Ariens model 917001 log splitter.  Also stolen were multiple chainsaw chains.  This crime cost the victim over $3,000.

Criminal Damage to Stettin Elementary School

On August 22, about 1:00am, it appears four males (two arrived on bikes, two arrived on skateboards) accessed the roof of Stettin Elementary School located on N 56th Ave and caused extensive damage to exterior cameras, HVAC equipment, two roof ladders, various pvc and aluminum roof vents and the roof itself.  The damage is estimated at about $10,000.

Injured Person at a Bar

Marathon County Crime Stoppers is asking for your help to identify the person who caused substantial injuries in a bar on Grand Avenue in the City of Schofield.

The suspect in the attached photo broke a beer bottle across the face the victim, causing him to be transported by ambulance and stitches.  This incident happened inside the bar.  The suspect is a male who was wearing a blue bandana and black leather jacket. The suspect left prior to police arrival on what is believed to be a blue or black Harley Ultra Classic (full touring model with a front fairing and rear trunk).

Help Identify Retail Theft Suspect

Marathon County Crime Stoppers is asking for your help to identify a male who is wanted for a retail theft in the Village of Rothschild.

 

On July 18, 2016 about 6:15 pm, a white male stole approximately $180 worth of merchandise from Shopko.  The suspect was wearing an orange t-shirt and blue jeans. The male walked to the registers and while waiting for a register to open, he removed the store security cables on an item, grabbed a bottle of Mountain Dew and exited the store making no attempt to pay for the items.

Stolen Homemade Aircraft
August 14, 2016

Marathon County Crime Stoppers is asking for your help to determine who stole two model aircraft from a garage in the Town of Elderon.

 

Between August 5 and August 7, 2016 someone went into a garage in the 8100 block of Hickory Road in the Town of Elderon and stole two model aircraft.  One was a yellow 1/5th scale Cub replica pontoon plane with “Bass Lake” lettered on the pontoons.  The other aircraft was a drone with four motors.  Both of these aircraft were homemade by the victim of the theft.  Also stolen was an oak wooden box which had accessories for the Cub airplane.

Theft of Disc Golf Basket

Abandoned and Mistreated Dogs
July 22, 2016

Marathon County Crime Stoppers is asking for your help to find the people responsible for the mistreating and abandoning of two dogs in the Township of Rib Mountain.

 

On July 11 about 12:35am, it appears two dogs were abandoned in the Wal-Mart parking lot. A witness described a light-colored SUV near where the dogs were abandoned. One of the dogs, a 2 year old black pit-bull mix, was captured and taken to a vet for treatment. There were several scars on the dog’s body which could have come from other dogs or being hit or whipped with an object that would cut the skin. The other dog was a white pit-bull mix, but was not able to be captured and died when it was struck by a vehicle on US 51. This dog also appeared to have old scarring believed to be from bite marks and some new puncture wounds. The dogs may have been used as bait dogs for dog fighting.

Graffiti to Business

Marathon County Crime Stoppers is attempting to find a person with painted graffiti on a business building in the Village of Rothschild.

 

On either the night of July 6,2016 or the morning of July 7, 2016, someone painted graffiti on a business building in the 200 block of Industrial Avenue in the Village of Rothschild.  The graffiti had block style lettering saying “Wizards”, another word with “Kush”, and the last word appeared to be “Krug”.  Pictures of the graffiti are shown in marathoncountycrimestoppers.org under the Crime of the Week tab.
