Residential Burglary

Marathon County Crime Stoppers is asking for your help to find the person responsible for a residential burglary in the Township of Reid.
Sometime during the day on Friday May 2, someone forced their way into a residence on Tryba Rd while the home owners were gone. The burglars took a black Compaq Laptop Computer, five silver necklaces about 25 inches in length, a Mayan silver name pendant, and a Sony Cybershot DSC-H7 camera. The total loss is estimated at about $1200.

Theft from Garage
May 11, 2014
Marathon County Crime Stoppers is seeking information to determine who stole tools from a garage in the Town of Cleveland.
Sometime over the course of this past winter, someone went into a garage on Maryel Drive in the Town of Cleveland and stole numerous tools. Items stolen included a Miller wire feed welder, a 6/12 volt battery charger, a 3 ton aluminum floor jack, two 12 ton jack stands, a Husqvarna Model 455 chainsaw, and a post maul with the initials “GP” welded into it. The victim sustained over a $1,200.00 loss.

Theft of Vehicle

Sometime between the evening of Sunday 04/27/14 and morning of Monday 04/28/14, a 2005 Toyota Tundra Double Cab Sr5 blue pick-up truck was stolen from a pole shed on Balsam Road. The truck had a WI license plate number of EV9458 and was valued at about $6000. (The picture is of a similar truck to the one that was stolen)

Damage to a Residence

On Monday March 31, 2014, about 9:30 pm, someone fired four shots at a large living room picture window with a bb gun while occupants were seated inside the residence located on Gilbert St. Fortunately no one was hurt. The damage to the window is estimated at $1000.

Slashed Tires

During the night on March 30th, 2014, an unknown person slashed two tires on a vehicle while it was parked in a driveway in the 500 block of Deer Bush Road in the Town of Emmet. The victim reported their tires had been slashed before multiple times.

Wanted Person

STATUS: APPREHENDEDMarathon County Crime Stoppers is trying to locate a person who has an arrest warrant issued for him and is a suspect for a battery to a minor.
Darubi Ahkieton Sims has two misdemeanor warrants for his arrest, one from Marathon County and another from Wood County. Sims is also a suspect in a Battery to a Minor from an incident in Marathon County. Sims is a black male, 21 years old, is 5’10” tall and weighs about 210 pounds. He has about one-half inch scar on his abdomen. Sims has Wausau ties. Attached is a picture of Sims.

Vandalism to a Farm

Sometime on Monday, 03/17/14, during the early morning hours, unknown persons used black and white spray paint to spray swastikas and Nazi related wording on a business sign, mailbox, and silage bunk located on Cherry Rd. The damage is estimated at about $3,000.

Suspicious Person

Marathon County Crime Stoppers is trying to find the person who acted suspiciously towards a school aged child on February 21, 2014.
Around 7:45 AM on February 21, 2014, a child was waiting for their school bus on Shady Lane in the Town of Texas. A male with brown hair wearing a black sweater or jacket, blue jeans, and driving a white 4-door Jeep drove past the child, turned around, came back to the child, and asked who was watching them. When the child stated one of their parents were, the male became angry and commented how the schools around here were closed and then left the area. The schools were in session and on time that day.

Damage to a Residence

STATUS: SOLVEDMarathon County Crime Stoppers is trying to identify the people who damaged a residence in the Township of Rib Falls.
Sometime between 6pm on Friday, February 8th and 3pm on Saturday, February 9th, 2014, unknown people threw several raw eggs and toilet paper on a residence in the 2000 block of STH 107. Due to the cold weather, the raw eggs froze to the siding and windows of the residence. One section of the vinyl siding was cracked from the eggs striking it.

Burglary to Sylvan Hill Park

Marathon County Crime Stoppers is trying to find the people who broke into the chalet and stole property from Sylvan Hill Park in the City of Wausau.
On either February 24th or 25th, 2014, unknown people broke into Sylvan Hill Park chalet by breaking a window. Once inside the building, the people forced their way into various portions of the building, damaging doors and other property. The people stole cash from inside the building and a Nook digital reader which belonged to an employee. Between the damage and theft, Marathon County Parks Department suffered a loss of over $2,000.00.

Theft of Snowmobile
February 16, 2014
Marathon County Crime Stoppers is trying to find the people who stole a snowmobile in the Town of Cleveland.
At 11:30 PM, on February 8, 2014, a group of snowmobilers were at a tavern in the Town of Cleveland. The group took off their jackets and left them around a table. One of the jackets; a blue and black Polaris jacket was stolen. When the group went outside, they found their blue and black 2006 Polaris Fusion 600 was stolen. It is believed a white male and white female; both in their late 20’s were involved in the theft. Both people are about 5’7” tall. The snowmobile has been recovered in a field by Bluebird Lane and County Road N in the Town of Cassel. Below is a picture of the missing jacket.

STATUS: SOLVEDMarathon County Crime Stoppers is trying find the people responsible breaking into a business on Stewart Avenue near 48th Avenue multiple times during the month of January, 2014.
The business was broken into at least two times during January. Items stolen included a Snap-On Solus Ultra automotive scanning system, a Canon Powershot FX160 digital camera, and numerous other power, hand, and electronic tools. All told, the victim has sustained about a $20,000 loss. The attached picture is of the scanning system.

Fishing Shanty Break-Ins

Marathon County Crime Stoppers is trying find the people responsible breaking into multiple fishing shanties on Lake Wausau and on the Eau Claire River and stealing property..
This winter, multiple ice fishing shanties have been broken into on Lake Wausau and the Eau Claire River within the greater Wausau area. The shanties have been damaged and property was stolen from within them. Items stolen include an ice auger, television, gas cans, lights, and fishing equipment.
People who own fishing shanties which are left on the ice are reminded to remove all property from the shanties when you are not there.

In the early morning hours on January 4, 2014, a business at the corner of State Road 153 and Rangeline Road in Mosinee had a portable roadside sign damaged by pulling off the message board on one side. The property owner suffered about a $500.00 loss. Attached is a similar type sign.

Retail Theft

Marathon County Crime Stoppers is asking for your help to identify a suspect responsible for a retail theft at Shopko in the Village of Rothschild.
On 09/22/13 about 8:55pm, a male suspect pushed a cart out the back doors of Shopko setting of the alarm. The suspect had filled the cart with about $545 worth of merchandise. Most of the merchandise was recovered but the thief did make off with some of the items. The suspect is a white male who was wearing a brown sweatshirt and jeans. He appeared to have shorter dark hair with reddish dye on the front area of his hair.

Marathon County Crime Stoppers is trying to identify people responsible for breaking into a house in the Town of Knowlton.
Sometime over the past few months, someone went into a house on Dorie Lane in the Town of Knowlton and stole about $8,800.00 of property. Items stolen include a Hummingbird fish locator, a Henry Golden Boy lever action .22 cal. rifle, a Remington 742 .30-06 cal. rifle, a Remington .22 cal./410 over and under shotgun/rifle, a men’s diamond and ruby wedding ring, a diamond ring with 14 karat white gold band, a diamond and sapphire ring with a white gold band, and a yellow and white gold band ring with three diamonds.

Theft of Vehicle

Marathon County Crime Stoppers is asking for your help to identify the person(s) responsible for stealing a vehicle from a property in the Town of Norrie.
Between November 22 and November 30, 2013, someone entered a pole shed on Mayflower Lane in the Town of Norrie and stole a gray 1978 Buick Skylark two door. The Buick had red interior and was in good shape. A hydraulic auto jack was also taken. It is believed that the Buick may have been loaded onto a trailer as it had been several years since the vehicle was last driven and it had a least one flat tire.
