Sometime between May 25 and June 1, 2012, someone took approximately 100 steel plates from a road construction site in the 900 block of S. 60th Ave in Wausau. The plates were described as ¼” steel, with some being approximately 24 inches by 36 inches square, and the others being 36 inches round. There were approximately 50 of each size stolen. The steel plates were used to cover manholes during construction of the roads. The loss is estimated at approximately $6500.

On April 8, 2012, (Easter Sunday), at about 10:38 am, a 32” Samsung LCD television was stolen from the Cardiac Institute waiting room on the east side of Aspirus Hospital. The suspects are two younger, adult white males. The male wearing the t-shirt is seen on surveillance exiting the Cardiac Institute with the TV tucked under his right arm. The suspect’s truck appears to be teal in color and has about a 3” strip of silver or grey that runs along the bottom edge of the body. On March 10, 2012, property was stolen from two cars while the cars were parked in a driveway and Marathon County Crime Stoppers is asking for your help to catch the person responsible.
In the early morning hours, two unlocked cars were parked in a driveway on Bluegill Ave. in the Town of Rib Mountain. When the owner checked his other car he found a pair of prescription reading glasses and an I-Pod Touch were stolen.

On Wednesday, 12/21/11, at approximately 8:25 pm, an elderly female was seated inside her vehicle in the Pick N Save parking lot in Wausau. An unknown male approached the female at the driver’s side door. The unknown male reached across the elderly female, stealing her purse from inside the vehicle. After stealing the purse, the suspect ran to the west. He was last seen running near the intersection of N. 2nd Ave and Oak St.
The suspect, who is seen in the video, is described as a white male, approximately 20-25 yrs old, approximately 5’08” to 5’09” tall, medium to thin build, and approximately 160-170 lbs. The suspect was wearing a dark colored hooded sweat shirt with the hood pulled over his head at the time of the robbery.
